Materials Needed:
- 1 skein of Manos Del Uruguay Serpentina (100% superwash merino wool approx. 100g/142yards per skein) 1 skein each 2 colours
- US 8 / 5mm 16" circular needle
- US 9 / 5.5mm 16" circular needle or dpn's (double pointed needles) or size to obtain gauge
Serpentina is a unique yarn, created in Manos Del Uruguay cooperatives, hands-on from handpainted merino tops, Serpentina is a truly artisanal product. Each skein is unique, and the colours are totally random - they will not stack or pool. The spinning process creates a delicate colour twirling effect that reminds us of the paper streamers (serpentines) thrown at the Carnival parties.
The colours in Serpentina's colour card honour iconic women, that have changed history.
