The Sweet Breeze Top is a must-have for summer. It’s simple, modern, and knit in one piece from the top down for comfort and style. The wide shoulders and high collar give it a polished look that stays cool in the heat. Plus, you won’t have to worry about your bra straps showing. It really is a win-win for summer outfits.

This project is relaxing and easy to knit, mostly using stockinette stitch. It’s perfect for a quiet afternoon with your knitting, a cold drink, or a bowl of gelato in the sun.

Experience Level

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to knit your first garment, this is it. The Sweet Breeze Top is a great project for beginners. We’ll help you move from flat knitting to working in the round, so your first try at making a top goes smoothly.
  • What you should know • You are comfortable with the basics: casting on, knitting, and purling.
  • What you will learn • We will guide you through top-down construction, picking up stitches for the armholes and collar, and achieving a professional finish on your ribs.
