Learn to Knit: Everyway Shawl
Taught by Catherine Beaulne
The Everyway Shawl by Andrea Mowry is a true celebration of colour. This project centers colorwork at its core. It is a versatile piece that adapts to your day, your outfit, and your mood. If you want a project that feels as cozy as a throw blanket but looks as stylish as a designer piece, this is the one.
Wear it as a cozy poncho on crisp mornings, a stylish vest for the office or dinner, a classic shawl for any occasion, or a beautiful, textured throw blanket for your home. Each style brings out a different side of this versatile piece.
This video by Andrea Mowry demonstrates the versatility of the Everyway Shawl and offers multiple ways to wear it for any occasion.
Experience Level
We understand that big projects can feel overwhelming, especially when you hit a slump or try a new technique like colorwork. Our classes are here to support you. You will be part of a small group where we support one another, share progress, and stay motivated through to the last stitch.
- What you should know • You are comfortable with the basics: casting on, knitting and purling.
- What you will learn • We will guide you through changing textures, making neat buttonholes, and of course, colorwork.
No prior colorwork experience is needed. We will provide step-by-step support at every stage. If you're not sure about trying this technique, rest assured that guidance and encouragement are part of the class.
Class Information
- Group Size • To give everyone plenty of attention, we keep our classes small, with just six (6) students per day. The class will take place in person at Statement Junkie Yarn.
