  • PATTERN - The Statement Beanie | Worsted Weight Edition (Rios) PATTERN - The Statement Beanie | Worsted Weight Edition (Rios)

DEANIE'S BEANIE'S PATTERN - The Statement Beanie | Worsted Weight Edition (Rios)

The Statement Beanie was written and designed after Statement Junkie's owner and founder Andrea. Nadine with Deanie's Beanie's created a beautiful design and the pattern is for a advanced beginner knitter. It is a super soft, loose fitting beanie. Features include a little texture, beautiful cabling, and a fold up brim for extra warmth around the ears. If the fold up brim isn’t your style, instructions are also included for a regular brim with a little extra slouch. This beanie was designed with one of my favourite yarn bases, Malabrigo Rios, however, Malabrigo Worsted would work beautifully too! The Statement Beanie is bound to make a statement, whether you’re out for a walk, running errands, or sledding with the kids, you’ll be toasty, and on trend! This design was a little labour of love, and I’m so excited to share it with you! I hope you love it as much as I do!* I do recommend knitting a gauge on this one, to ensure your tension is the same as mine, as I knit on the tighter side. *

  • PATTERN - The Statement Cowl | Worsted Weight Edition (Rios) PATTERN - The Statement Cowl | Worsted Weight Edition (Rios)

STATEMENT JUNKIE PATTERN - The Statement Cowl | Worsted Weight Edition (Rios)

Continuing on with the series... the Statement Cowl. Nadine with Deanie's Beanie's wrote this beautiful series of patterns for me and it is such an honour to have something so special be dedicated to the friendship Nadine and I have! The cowl is designed with one of my favourite worsted weight yarn bases, Malabrigo Rios. The Statement Cowl is super soft and squishy, with a little texture, beautiful cabling, and it’s extra thick to keep you warm on those chilly days. It’s knit up using 2 strands of Malabrigo Rios (held double-stranded) resulting in a quick, satisfying knit. This design is sure to make a statement; whether you’re out for a walk, running errands, or sledding with the kids, you’ll be toasty, and on trend! Finished measurements: Approximately 11” tall x 9.5”wide. Note: This is a pattern download. This is not a finished product.

    Abrams Books Slow Knitting

    2 in stock

Like the “slow food” movement, Slow Knitting encourages knitters to step back, pare down, and celebrate the craftsmanship of their work. In five chapters centered around the tenets of slow knitting—sourcing carefully, making thoughtfully, thinking environmentally, experimenting fearlessly, and exploring openly—Hannah Thiessen challenges knitters of all skill levels to view their practice in a new way. Each chapter contains explorations of fiber types; profiles of well-known yarn types, makers, and yarn suppliers; and garment patterns inspired by the featured fibers. With contributions from knitting superstars Norah Gaughan, Bristol Ivy, and many others, Slow Knitting proposes an approach to knitting that is both minimalist and all-encompassing, and emphasizes what makes knitting a meditation, a passion, and a unique necessity.

Social life, too, always required the finest mittens and gloves. These mittens are as practical as they are beautiful - double-knit with two colours means twice the warmth and wind resistance. The patterns are rated by difficulty and varied in style, including trigger mitts, wristers, five-finger mittens (a.k.a. gloves), fingerless mitts for wee ones, and, of course, classic mittens for all. Sandnes Garn 2008 Sunday | Sandnes Garn

    11 in stock

In our Sunday collection you will find good basic garments, such as sweaters, jackets and slipovers for children, women and men in various techniques. They are easy to style to different expressions, giving many uses. Several of the designs are knitted from top to bottom. It allows you to adjust the length of the sleeves and the torso yourself. At Peter's Seamen's Rib for Kids, we wanted it to be folded on the sleeves to give a rougher look, so they were knitted extra long. At the Clover Regent, on the other hand, we thought it nice to have a three quarter sleeve to give a neater look. You can of course choose a different expression, but we hope you will be inspired by the collection, yarn, colors, styling and location. Here are a lot of delicate garnments! Go into the Sunday feeling, enjoy a cup of coffee, knitting time and that time is going slowly. Good knit! Click here to view the patterns in this collection.
