Recommended Yarns:
This scarf is meant to have a lot of drape, and visible stitch definition. The instructor recommends merino, alpaca, or cashmere in a DK weight. If you are able to wear wool next to skin, holding two strands together and combining a strand of silk with wool/ merino/ mohair would be an amazing choice. If you are very sensitive to natural fibers, a DK weight baby yarn would be appropriate for this pattern.
The instructor samples are being knit with the following:
Sample 1: 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Merino (50g = 250m) held together with 1 strand Bernice De Rerum Natura (25g = 210m).
Sample 2: 1 strand of Knitting for Olive Pure Silk (50g = 250m) held together with 1 strand of Make it Tweed Rico Designs (50g = 500m). Yarns were purchased at Statement Junkie - see recommendations from Statement Junkie for more options!
Please note that your face is sensitive, priority should be given to wearability and comfort!
Pattern Disclaimer: Please note that Statement Junkie Yarn will purchase the pattern on your behalf as part of this class 1 week before the scheduled class time.
