The Step By Step Sweater is a simple raglan sweater with no complicated techniques, perfect as your first garment knitting project. It has a relaxed fit and two options for the neckline.

Experience Level

We understand that big projects can feel overwhelming, especially when you hit a slump or try a new technique. Our classes are here to support you. You will be part of a small group where we support one another, share progress, and stay motivated through to the last stitch.

  • What you should know • This is not a Learn to Knit class but it is a beginner sweater class. You will need to be comfortable with the basics: casting on, knitting and purling.

Class Information

  • Group Size • To give everyone plenty of attention, we keep our classes small, with just five (5) students. The class will take place in person at Statement Junkie Yarn.
  • Duration • Five (5) weeks (One 2-hour session per week). Only five (5) spots are available, and half typically fill in the first week. If you’re interested in joining, we recommend signing up soon to secure your seat.

Andrea Kemper will guide you through the class. Andrea has a sharp attention to detail and will help you every step of the way showing each step and technique as you go.
