Learn to Knit: Toe Up Socks with Afterthought Heel

This is an intermediate class and you need to have a strong knowledge and understanding of basic knitting techniques and terminology.
Knit socks toe-up! In this class we will knit a sock using toe-up technique on Magic Loop. We will be using the Trusty Toe Up Socks pattern by Tanis Fibre Arts. The pattern is free on Ravelry.com
This 4 part class will teach you to knit socks toe-up. Each week we will move through a new section of the sock: toe, afterthought heel, and cuff.
Knowledge Required:
- Knit
- SSK
- K2tog
- Purl
- YO - yarn over
Skills Learned:
- Judy's Magic Cast On
- Short rows
- Afterthought heel
- RYO - reverse yarn over
Supplies Needed:
- Locking stitch markers
- Scrap yarn for afterthought heel
- Tapestry needle
- US 1 | 2.25mm or US 1.5 | 2.5mm (depending on how tight you knit) in a 32" or 40" fixed circular
- At least 400 yards of Fingering weight yarn (make sure there is nylon in your yarn and the colour is not too dark that you won't be able to see your stitches)
